This award winning tv-series follows the quirky Martien Meiland and his family in their adventure to restore a French chateau to its former glory. Without any knowledge or experience of course problems and culture clashes ensue, leading to funny situations wherein Martien shines like a diva. The creative concept and production of the title sequence was inspired by the British tv-show Little Britain, introducing the family piece by piece, showcasing their various roles within the family surrounded by the beautiful setting of the French chateau.
