Amstelveen Inzicht

In a huge undertaking the A9 highway that splits the city of Amstelveen will be partially diverted underground. With this grand project the current city center, along with metro's routes and tributary roads will undergo a lot of changes. Changes that the citizens of Amstelveen need to be informed about. Enter Amstelveen Inzicht. Created to function as an informational hub, Amstelveen Inzicht features various installations, showcasing the changes that are going to take place.

Together with Podium these concepts were given shape and produced, culminating in a fascinating experience that both informs and entertains. Along with the design and production of these installations I designed the identity for Amstelveen Inzicht, as seen below.

Grid and color.

The design features a minimalistic combination of the A for Amstelveen that frames the widely recognized symbol for information, the lower-case i, which also functions as the i for Inzicht. Inspired by the principles of Bauhaus the functional grid-structure used to create the logo became the base on which all design was built. This combined with clear color coding for the various subprojects created a uniform and timeless language.
