The province of Overijssel had a wish to give employees a better insight into their commute. An insight combined with an advice how to save energy, time or money. To fulfill this wish they invited several agencies to pitch a name and brand identity. The winner would get the chance to design the app as well as further implement the brand identity. Our idea? A fresh and modern, minimalistic design that visually simplifies all the options and variables that the app needs. Our suggestion for the name? Pendle. Derived from a pendulum, a freely swinging weight between two points. The logo visualizes this with the combination of a starting point, that travels through the P into the negative space. A static representation of the back and forth motion that commuting brings. We fell in love with this idea and pitched it to perfection.
